The Three Brains of Inner Wisdom
The magic of Intuition Painting® lies in helping you access and trust your intuition—not as a fleeting feeling, but as a full-body knowing.
Through the act of painting without rules or judgment, we quiet the thinking mind and awaken the deeper wisdom held in the head, heart, and gut—our three inner “brains.”
Did you know you have three brains?
Modern neuroscience confirms that we have three centers of intelligence:
- Head – logic, language, planning
- Heart – emotion, empathy, connection
- Gut – instinct, intuition, safety
When these centers are in dialogue, we feel grounded, clear, and aligned. But when the head dominates—especially under stress or trauma—we disconnect from the body’s deeper signals.
The gut is a wisdom center. Your gut produces about 90–95% of your serotonin and around 50% of your dopamine—neurotransmitters that affect mood, clarity, and creativity. It doesn’t just digest food—it processes emotion and communicates directly with the brain via the vagus nerve.
A disrupted gut can cloud intuition, increase anxiety, and block creativity. Caring for your gut with nourishing food, rest, and mindfulness is a spiritual and creative act.
Why does painting help? Intuition Painting® activates body-based awareness:
- You get out of your head and into sensation
- You bypass the inner critic
- You release stored emotion through movement and color
- You allow the subconscious to speak
The brush becomes a tool of embodiment. Your hands translate what your soul already knows.
When we paint from sensation—not concept—we rebuild self-trust. We begin to hear the subtle “yes,” “no,” or “not yet” that lives in the body.
Consider checking in with your inner wisdom system by asking yourself:
“What happens when I listen from my heart or gut instead of only my mind?”

Let this be a soft reminder:
Your intuition is not a mystery—it’s a message from within, asking you to trust.
You are already wise.
